A loudspeaker mast is positioned on Ettlinger-Tor-Platz, a square adjacent to a main traffic artery in Karlsruhe. Two directional loudspeakers mounted at a height of 3.50 metres radiate their signals at 30 degrees respectively.
Musical utterances, folk songs and scenes are played back into the townscape at intervals in variable sound loops. The songs represent the everyday life and the identity of the authors in each case. The recordings of singing 49.03º / 8.24º amount to an archive of »musical interviews« within the Karlsruhe population, recorded by the artist in the course of 2003.
