An accidental data breach—the disclosure of an email distribution list during an application process at an art college—was the starting point for the participatory sound work 60 Seconds Each in early 2022. Artist Kristof Georgen used this moment of “coincidental networking” among international sound art artists for his artistic concept for an LP. The idea was based on a radically reductive approach to time. All participating artists were given the compositional requirement of exactly 60 seconds in length.
